Grinding & Polishing Machine RK 6 / 1200

The machine

Having an outside diameter of 1400 mm the 6 work spindles are arranged onto a reference circle of 1200 mm.

Having 1.1 kW driving power on the table the cycle time is approx. 1.5 sec.

The work spindles are set in rotation either with 1.5 kW via chain drive or with 6 x 0.55 kW single drive and can be progressively adjusted in the range from 10 - 40 r.p.m.

The units

The machine shown is equipped with grinding and polishing units type PES III.
The amply dimensioned polishing spindle is driven by an 11 kW three-phase A.C. motor and can achieve speeds of 720 – 1800 r.p.m. with the according polishing mop.

With the according motor power, polishing mop assemblies of max. 450 mm diameter and 300 mm width can be operated in right-hand and left-hand rotation. For flexible pressing and lifting of the polishing mop the system is equipped with a pneumatic cylinder, adjustments of height, rotation, skew and cross adjustments are made via handwheels or gear motors.

Oscillation is pneumatic and allows a stroke of 5 - 100 mm, the frequency can be progressively adjusted.

Depending on the requirements, more standard units for grinding, brushing and polishing can be added.
